The images posted show Ronaldo and his girlfriend , Georgina Rodriguez, enjoying a barbecue with their family just hours before the heartbreaking story happened. The barbecue took place at the couple’s home in Manchester and was attended by Georgina’s sister Ivana.

Famous Spanish sports journalist Edu Aguirre, a close friend of the Portuguese superstar, was also present at this party. However, a few hours later Ronaldo announced the sad news that the baby boy in the twins had passed away . The other girl was lucky to be saved thanks to the efforts of doctors.

On his personal page, Ronaldo sadly expressed: “With the deepest sadness, we announce the passing of our son. This is the biggest pain any parent feels. Only the birth of a baby girl gives us the strength to get through this difficult time, with a little hope and happiness. I would like to thank the support from all the doctors, nurses and professionals who wholeheartedly support my family. We are deeply saddened and wish privacy during this difficult time. Dad’s son, you’re a parent’s angel. Parents will always love you.”
