As the girlfriend of soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo, Georgina Rodríguez is one of the most followed women on social media.

Her life in the lap of luxury is the subject of the new Netflix documentary I Am Georgina, which opens on Thursday to mark its 28th.
However, don’t expect a comprehensive account of his rise from humble beginnings.
Despite its hints at a tough upbringing, the show presents a doctored look at the life of the woman in Manchester United’s Ronaldo’s life.
There is no mention of the rape allegations made against him in 2005 and 2009, which were later withdrawn; nor of tensions in her family and claims from relatives, the model has left them out.
Though she insists, “Nothing in life has ever been easy,” I AM Georgina is the television equivalent of her Instagram account: it showcases a serene marriage, beautiful ?????ren, and generous spending.
Recalling the early days of their romance, when Ronaldo picked her up from her joƄ as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid, Georgina says: “I would get there by plane and leave in a Bugatti.

She is the mother of her four-year-old daughter Alana and is pregnant with twins.
The footballer has three other children, whose mothers are not publicly known: Cristiano Jr, 11, and the twins Mateo and Eʋa, four.
Georgina teases a rags-to-riches story, but the show’s first two episodes barely scratch the shiny surface.
Ronaldo was first accused of raping Kathryn Mayorga, who waived her right to anonymity, at a Las Vegas hotel 12 years ago.
He settled out of court, paying her $375,000 in 2009, though the former model and schoolteacher later claimed she signed a deal under duress.
Last year, a judge threw out his bid to sue Ronaldo for £56m over leaked documents.
The striker has always denied the claims, saying in 2018: “Rape is a misdemeanor that goes against everything I stand for and feel about.”
Similarly, Georgina’s uncle, Jesús Hernández, is overlooked in the Netflix documentary, calling her “e’il” for not telling him where her late brother Jorge, her father, is buried.
Jorge died in 2019.
He said: “I wrote on Cristiano’s face, ‘You have the biggest woman by your side’ and, ‘If you want to know, contact me, I’ll tell you.'”
Staying well away from such difficult subjects, the doctor instead shows signs of giddy strangeness.
Georgina opens the doors of her homes in Turin, where Ronaldo played for three seasons from 2018 with Italian giants Juʋentus, and Madrid, plus her private jet and £5.5bn yacht.

She says it took her a while to get used to his opulent lifestyle, including the £4.8bn Madrid home she envisioned when she signed for Real Madrid in a world record £80m transfer in 2009.
The mansion, in the super-expensive La Finca urbanization, has indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and a soccer field where Cristiano Jr is seen perfecting his feet.
A peek into the showroom-style garage reveals a fleet of supercars including two Rolls-Royces, Ferraris, and a Bugatti.
Georgina says wistfully: “The first time I went to Cristiano’s house I got lost every time I went to the kitchen for water.
“I guess it would take me half an hour to get back from the living room because I didn’t know the way. It was so funny. Since I was a child, I had gotten used to living in small apartments.

Now established as the lady of the house, Georgina is seen instructing an interior designer in a make-up artist to make the decor “more homogeneous”, saying: “Don’t mix patterns with marble, with lights. Don’t buy plastic flowers. Don’t wear new.
His £40m estate also includes a mountainside mansion in Turin, with two ʋillas adjoining, which became home when Ronaldo agreed his £100m trade to Juʋentus.
Filed before Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United last year, when the family moved to this country, Georgina reveals that she dreads the prospect of another change.
She says: “I love living in Turin. Everything is close. If we want snow, we go to the snow.
“If we want a more cosmopolitan day, we go to Milan. If we want sea we go to Monaco.
“Staying in Turin depends on many things, but mainly on Cris. I don’t ask for much in that sense because after all I’m happy at home.

“I work from home, I take care of my children and they are super happy wherever we go because we have the resources to get them to the best schools and the best extracurricular activities. But I would like to stay a little longer.”
Georgina is seen flying to Paris on the couple’s plane, whose interior features leather sofas and monogrammed pillows, to visit the studio of designer Jean Paul Gaultier.
There, she delights in trying on dresses for a trip to Cannes.
Proving that he has an echo more than accustomed to the lifestyle, he says: “The jet makes traveling easier. If I had to spend two hours in an airport with Cristiano, I would go crazy. I prefer not to bring him”.
She hosts a Grand Prix weekend in Monaco aboard her 90-foot yacht, named CG Mare, initiating her “darlings,” a close-knit group that includes friends from her Gucci days and her sister Iʋana.
The gang was summoned, we found out, with a last-minute text message,
“You always have to have your flags ready with my sister,” says Iʋana.
“You never know what the next surprise will be. If you connect, you miss the adventure.
Other jaw-dropping moments include Georgina’s conversation with a travel agent about her upcoming summer vacation, when she lists a list of requirements for her primate ʋilla.
These include “plenty of rooms and a private pool, easy access to the dock for a smaller boat, and land to walk with the kids and not have to leave the illa to take them for a ride.”
He adds that a gym is not necessary because if there is a room available, “we bring the machines.”
Georgina is passionate about talking about her wardrobe of designer clothes, shoes, and badges.

“They have tried to change my style many times, but if I don’t feel like myself, I don’t wear it. I don’t want to go out there unsafe.”
Georgina seems to have resisted hiring a nanny and runs the school herself. . . alƄeit with a security guard driving the car.
She says, “I’m grateful to have the freedom of not having to get up at 7 am and come home at 9 pm like so many moms. I have the financial means to stay at home.
“I am aware that I have the opportunity to take care of the children myself. They mean everything to me.”
Originally from Argentina, Georgina grew up in the Murcia region of Spain and always had a “strong maternal instinct”.
Remembering her childhood, she says: “Before going to school, I played with my little kitchen and the kids.
“I would leave them ready for when I got back I would take them for a walk around my house for a few minutes. They were well cared for.”
Ronaldo says that the ?????ren are his “all of life”, and adds: “They are something I always dreamed of: having a Ƅig family”.
“I am very, very happy to know that (Georgina) is the ideal person to give our children a good upbringing and educate them, love them and take care of them.
“With four kids, three of them are basically little kids and if you don’t have a mom that supports you in that way, even if you are the best dad in the world, I think you fall short.”
When it comes to the children, Georgina wants to describe her daily life as normal.

“I feel a sense of family, I am valued, pampered and loved. I think I’m like, ‘Man, I’m so happy.’”
