Irving created his company to help build self-sustaining areas while implementing teaching, food, and water security as well as supporting the fight for social justice and equality.
The seven-time NBA All-Star has been active in off-court issues throughout his career, notably focusing on the protests against racial injustice last summer. He decided to lead a boycott of the NBA restart in order to concentrate on the protests.
Kyrie Irving was Fined Last Week For Violating Covid Protocols
Kyrie Irving was fined $50,000 by the NBA for violating the league’s Covid-19 protocols and he will forfeit about $870,000 in total, which includes a fine for two games he had to miss through the isolation.
“Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving has been fined $50,000 for violating the league’s Health and Safety Protocols, which among other things prohibit attending indoor social gatherings of 15 or more people or entering bars, lounges, clubs or similar establishments, “said Byron Spruell, President, League Operations,” the NBA announced Friday. “The violation occurred when he attended a private indoor party last weekend.
Although Irving makes about $410,000 per game and will sacrifice his salary for two games in extending to paying the $50,000 fine.
