If the saying “the eyes are windows to the soul” holds true, then you’re about to be introduced to two individuals with exceptionally stunning souls – Xafi and Auri!
The charming appearance of the “American Blue” Russian Blue cats has caused quite a stir on social media, resulting in an impressive fanbase of over 112k followers on Instagram.
Even though they resemble each other a great deal, Xafi and Auri are not twins. Xafi happens to be older by one year. Despite the confusion among their followers, their parents Annaken and Tim, who reside in the United Kingdom, have become experts at distinguishing between the two sisters.
Auri possesses a face that is more circular in shape, ears that are broader, and fur that is slightly darker. On the other hand, Xafi’s face has sharper angles, with ears that are slightly taller in comparison.
Their “Meow” has a unique and distinguishable character, just like their movements and behaviors.
Despite having the same weight of 3.5kg, Auri appears to be more muscular and toned than before.
While Xafi and Auri share a physical resemblance, that’s where their similarities come to a halt. According to Anneken, Xafi is more people-oriented while Auri values her independence. Additionally, Auri excels in athleticism while Xafi can be a bit clumsy. When it comes to seeking affection, Xafi is vocal and demanding while Auri is gentle and subtle. Nevertheless, both cats are incredibly loving and sweet in their own unique ways.
It was a bit of a learning curve for me to master the art of taking pictures of cats. The real difficulty lies in getting both of them in one frame. My secret weapon is treats and toys, which help me coax them into cooperating and looking at the camera.
Anneken, while talking to Bored Panda, shared that she now focuses more on capturing cats in their natural habitat, where they are seen doing their usual cat-like behavior. She also mentioned that she avoids taking posed photographs of cats.
Soon after, a furry new member joined our household. Errol, a charming Somali feline, is known for his constant purring, meowing, insatiable appetite, and an inclination to drool. He boasts an Instagram profile of his own and has amassed quite a following on various social media platforms.
I believe that Xafi and Auri have a special charm that will captivate anyone who lays eyes on them. Personally, they have already won me over with their irresistible appeal!
