LeBron James couldn’t let Tyrese Maxey one up him

LeBron James is known for his competitive drive, and that extends even to his workouts. This was on full display recently when James’ young teammate, Tyrese Maxey, showed up to the gym early one morning.

James, who is always one of the first players to arrive, was surprised to see Maxey already there. Maxey explained that he couldn’t let James beat him to the gym, so he had to get there early.

James was impressed by Maxey’s work ethic, but he also couldn’t let the rookie get one over on him. So, the next day, James showed up to the gym even earlier.

This went on for a few days, with James and Maxey each trying to outdo the other. Finally, James decided to put an end to it. He showed up to the gym at 5:30 AM, and he was still there when Maxey arrived at 6:00 AM.

Maxey was defeated. He knew he couldn’t beat James, so he just laughed and shook his head.

James and Maxey’s friendly competition is a great example of the camaraderie that exists on the Philadelphia 76ers. It’s also a sign of the bright future that awaits the team
