A 19-year-old cat in the care of animal shelter staff in Ohio captured the attention of many online by giving him a spectacular birthday party to help him find a home for his aspirations.

Several individuals made the decision to offer to adopt him and give him a forever home after thousands of people read the post on the shelter’s Facebook page.

Sammy, the older cat, came to the Cincinnati Animal CARE shelter , after going through a very sad situation and being left in this place. For many years he had a loving home, but his owner had to go into a nursing home and was unable to take his beloved cat with him.

For this reason, the shelter staff knew all his information and even that his 19th birthday would be on June 15.

Sammy has always been known for being quite nice; he enjoys cuddles and hugs; he is very interested and pays attention to everything that takes place. He is undoubtedly a very easygoing and pleasant boy who enjoys spending time with his carers and taking naps on their laps.
