The vet indicated that this type of cancer is usually caused by further damage and the infection manifests as a tumor; Unfortunately, this is correct, as the person who reported this saw his drunk owner brutally beat the dog. He had him tied up and hidden in his garden for years. He couldn’t move more than two feet because of the short metal chain.
However, when the GWARP rescue team requested to rescue the boy, the owner refused, claiming that they could not remove ‘his property’. Therefore, they requested help from the local police.
“When we left him and went to talk to the police, the dog was almost sobbing. After a few hours we were able to provide the owner with the correct paperwork and he changed his mind. He said we couldn’t take the dog unless we reported it.”
“We agreed as the unfortunate dog needed medical checkups and blood tests at this time. Our boy also needs an immediate amputation, with tissue samples sent to histology. There’s a long way to go.”
X-rays reveal osteosarcoma, a serious type of bone cancer. Fortunately, there are no metastases in his target lung, indicating that he has little chance of life. However, the tumor is expanding rapidly, and the skin begins to tear as a result of rapid development. It is growing day by day.
