The Chicago Bulls achieved surreal success when Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen paired up for the side. However, this iconic duo failed to mirror their playing chemistry in their off the court relationship. The equation between the two stars deteriorated ever since Pippen criticized the portrayal of fellow Chicago Bulls stars in The Last Dance. Recently, Scottie Pippen has made news after he called out Michael Jordan once again. However, amid the rising tension between the Bulls legends, a warm moment of the two have now emerged on the Internet.
A few days back, Scottie Pippen took a dig at Michael Jordan and even questioned his early days as a Chicago player. However, there was a time when Pippen had nice things to say about MJ, his partner in crime.
Scottie Pippen’s affirmation about Michael Jordan resurfaces on the internet
A year after Michael Jordan was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame, Scottie Pippen also achieved the milestone. Then, it was Michael Jordan who presented his former teammate to the Hall of Fame. Touched by his teammate’s presence, Pippen went on to thank MJ for playing a huge role in his career.
“MJ, you have touched so many people’s lives, but none like mine. Thank you for being the best teammate; I will always cherish that experience and I will cherish our relationship forever,” said Scottie Pippen.
While Pippen’s harsh comments on MJ do the rounds on the internet, a handle named Die-Hard Chicago Bulls Fans has taken to Twitter with a snippet of Scottie Pippen’s Hall of Fame induction. “How #Bulls Scottie Pippen genuinely feels about Michael Jordan without all the drama,” the fan page captioned the tweet.
Scottie Pippen’s Hall of Fame induction has undoubtedly prompted hoops fans to reminisce about the warm camaraderie they once had. However, the Bulls legend’s recent tirade on MJ continues to be the talk of the town in NBA circles.
Scottie Pippen’s recent harsh claims about Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen recently had a free-wheeling conversation with his former Chicago teammate Stacey King on an episode of Stacey King’s podcast. According to Pippen, LeBron James is the greatest “statistical” player in NBA history. While siding with LeBron, Pippen fired shots at his ex-teammate, Michael Jordan.
“I’ve seen Michael Jordan play before I came to play with the Bulls. You guys seen him play. He was a horrible player, he was horrible to play with. He was all one on one, he’s shooting bad shots and all of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning,” said Scottie Pippen.
The emergence of Pippen’s speech has diverted many fans’ attention from his recent critique of MJ. Given the close bond MJ and Pippen once had and the massive success the pair brought into Chicago, NBA buffs will remember the rift between these two as the saddest beef in NBA history.
