QUICK BATTLE, QUICK VICTORY: Man United continued to sweep the transfer market as agree personal terms with Manuel Ugarte but face BIG problem from Casemiro

Man United are said to have agreed personal terms with Manuel Ugarte, as the player is keen on a Red Devils switch.

Manchester United have now sealed two signings. Joshua Zirkzee has been brought in to help out the attack. Leny Yoro has been acquired to bolster the back line.

Erik ten Hag and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are not hanging around this summer. They’re now targeting a signing in the midfield area, with Manuel Ugarte rumours now starting to ramp up.

The man from Uruguay has been linked with an Old Trafford switch this summer, though suddenly, it seems as though the discussions are rapidly approaching an advanced stage.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the latest on that front, claiming that United have now agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old.

The player is said to be ‘keen’ on moving to Old Trafford, even without Champions League football. United remain in talks with PSG, though other clubs have asked about Ugarte’s availability.

Ugarte looked good for both PSG and Uruguay last season, though he could well be on the move over the coming weeks.

A true defensive midfielder, Ugarte feels like the perfect replacement for someone like Casemiro, who is now getting up there in age.

The Brazil international is on a substantial salary of £350,000 a week and the only clubs looking to match that are in the Middle East. He will, therefore, not push for a transfer away from Old Trafford unless a substantial offer from Saudi Arabia materialises.

Despite this, we are told Man Utd are keen to offload Casemiro or Eriksen as part of a squad overhaul.

The fact that he’s willing to make the move to Manchester even without Champions League football on the table lets us all know that the Theatre of Dreams is still one of the premier destinations within our beautiful game.

The 23-year-old – whose FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value algorithm (ETV) ranks at €41.4M -was acquired by PSG for €60 million last summer.

Club sources at the French club now value the player at €70m, given his young age and the fact his contract isn’t up at the Parc Des Princes until June 2028.

Hopefully, Unite can agree a fee with PSG soon, in order to get this deal done.
