At tonight’s 2024 Met Gala, the Kardashian-Jenners were out in full effect: Sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner all hit the Met steps in grand fashion. While each star was telling her own distinctive story, Kylie opted for an elegant look that nodded back to the theme of the night—by dressing like a garden statue, courtesy of a custom design by Oscar de la Renta.

The house’s codesigners, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, created a special silhouette for Jenner that was inspired by the garden statues mentioned in J.G. Ballard’s short story “The Garden of Time,” which served as the evening’s official dress code. The double-face satin design, in a rosewater hue, features a cone-style bra, cinched waist, and large trumpet skirt.

This evening marked Jenner’s seventh time attending the Met Gala. In past years, the Kylie Cosmetics founder has delivered a number of memorable ensembles that turned heads on the red carpet. In 2022, her custom Off-White bridal look—with a baseball cap and veil—paid homage to the late designer Virgil Abloh. In 2019, she went viral for her campy lavender Versace look, complete with a feathered train and sleeves. Further back, in 2016, Jenner also nailed the “Manus x Machina” theme in a silvery futuristic Balmain gown.
