Michael Jordan source shares health update after viral picture of NBA legend with yellow eyes worries fans

Pictures of Michael Jordan with ‘yellow eyes’ that emerged online last week have been going viral and has led to one source speaking out in response to offer some clarity.

The 61-year-old was recently spotted during a Champions League clash between Monaco and Barcelona with an unusual tint to his eyes and prompted concern among fans over his health.

A doctor had cleared up that the change in Jordan’s recent appearance was nothing to be majorly concerned about.

Having been retired now since 2003, the former Washington Wizards star still keeps fit by regularly playing golf.

One source close to the NBA legend has since reiterated his health is of no concern at this moment.

“Mike is OK. He goes to the doctor, he is just getting older and the recent pics are in no way or should be a reason for concern,” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.

“There is nothing wrong with him. Like everyone, we should get a little more exercise and Mike enjoys the life he has made for himself, but there isn’t any hidden illness that he is dealing with.”

Jordan is said to be ’embarrassed’ by the viral reaction to his appearance in Monaco recently and is vowing to look healthier when he next makes a public outing.

The source added: “He has heard fans concerns and he appreciates the concern but also is a little embarrassed that people are seeing him in this way.

“He doesn’t want to be remembered by people as looking sick and down and out, the next time we see him, it will be dramatically different and he will look much better, he will bounce back.”

This issue regarding Jordan’s eyes has increasingly become a topic of discussion over the last few years.

It was also brought up by fans during Jordan’s Netflix documentary ‘The Last Dance’ but luckily a physician on Reddit has set the record straight.

They wrote: “His eyes are “anicteric” (meaning not jaundiced). His eyes are what we call as having a “dirty” or “muddy” sclera.

“It may appear yellow to the untrained eye, but in an outright jaundiced eye, the distribution of the yellowish color is very homogenous.

“In Michael’s eyes in the Last Dance, not only did I not see much yellow, but there were significant “splotches” and areas that remained white.

“So there – no big deal. A “muddy” sclera is a normal variation that’s commonly associated with aging.”
