Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has been one of the most entertaining and outspoken players in the NFL for many years. He’s also a pretty good football player, as evidenced by his five Pro Bowl selections and one Super Bowl championship.

So when Kelce recently said that he believes LeBron James could play in the NFL and be an amazing red zone threat, people took notice.

“If I was an NFL GM, and it was an option, I’d sign LeBron today and within one offseason he’d be the greatest red zone threat in the NFL,” Kelce said on the “I Am Athlete” podcast. “He’s 6-foot-9, 250 pounds, and he’s one of the most athletic freaks of nature I’ve ever seen. He can jump out of the gym, he can run, and he’s got great hands. He would be a nightmare for defensive coordinators to deal with in the red zone.”

Kelce is not the only one who believes James could succeed in the NFL. Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has also said that he thinks James could be a star in the NFL.

“LeBron James is a once-in-a-generation athlete,” Perkins said. “He’s got the size, the speed, and the athleticism to be a dominant player in any sport he chooses to play. I have no doubt that he could be a star in the NFL if he wanted to.”

Of course, there are also some people who believe that James would not be able to succeed in the NFL. The biggest concern is that he would not be able to handle the physicality of the game. NFL defenders are much bigger and stronger than NBA defenders, and they are not afraid to hit.

James is also 39 years old, and he is starting to show some signs of wear and tear. It is unclear if he would be able to stay healthy enough to play in the NFL.

Overall, it is an interesting debate to consider. There is no doubt that James is an incredible athlete, but it is hard to say for sure whether or not he would be able to succeed in the NFL. Only time will tell if he ever decides to give it a try.
